2017 Minneapolis - Fruen Mill Ruins No.1

Artwork Description: 

This watercolor sketch was completed on location at the Fruen Mill Ruins by Theodore Wirth Parkway off Glenwood Avenue in Minneapolis. I drove by this abandoned industrial relic many time and was always fascinated by its presence. On August 20 2017, I finally sketched this complex over a two-page spread in a Moleskine A4 watercolor album. This was one of my earliest sketches when I first got back into on-location sketching.
